Plan S implementation: information- & discussion meeting

Do you want to know more about what Plan S will mean for you as a researcher? Do you have questions about Plan S or do you want to share your thoughts? Then come to the information session on January 24, 14:30 - 16:00. The Open Access specialists of the University Library will explain what we know so far regarding the implementation of Plan S. Stakeholders representing NWO, VU’s Executive Board and VU’s School of Business and Economics present their vision on Plan S.There will also be ample opportunity to raise questions and discuss Plan S with each other. All presentations and discussion will be in English.

Plan S: Stricter demands on Open Access Publishing
Starting in 2020 a large number of European funders – including NWO and ERC – will attach stricter conditions regarding Open Access publishing to their funding opportunities. The University Library website offers an overview of the past developments towards Open Access, from the overall strategy of the VSNU [association of Dutch Universities], up to the launch of Plan S and the possibilities of Green Open Access publishing in the university’s repository. On January 31st, NWO will organize a consultation meeting on Plan S. In case you are not able to attend that meeting in person, the information session will offer you an opportunity to provide input for the representatives of the University Library to take to the consultation meeting.
