The University Library recently started a pilot with Brill that allows VU researchers to publish their articles without Article Processing Charges (APC’s) in Open Access.

Recently the digital versions of the Topographische en Militaire kaart van het Koningrijk der Nederlanden have been added to the Historical Maps section of the Image Database.

Advantageous conditions for publishing in Open Access with four publishers


To encourage VU and VUmc researchers to publish in Open Access, the University Library has made arrangements with four publishers offering VU and VUmc scientists a discount on publication costs, and in some cases the possibility of publishing free of charge, in 2015.

Forget your pincode! Pay contactless at the UL


Effective immediately, contactless payment of all financial transactions can now be made at the counter in the library on the 2nd floor of the University Main Building and the Medical Library in the VUmc Building.

VU library opening hours during Christmas break


The university library has alternate opening hours during the Christmas break from 24 December through 4 January.
