Studying in the VU Library: Group work places, MXP 
On the 1st floor, VU Main Building your will find 64 workplaces, including 8 for group work. The lockers have sockets for charging your mobile phone or laptop.
More group workplaces on floors 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, and 14.

The Library has many individual, quiet study places (whisper areas) on the ground floor and floors 2, 3, 6, 8, 12, 13 and 14 in the VU Main Building.       


         
Workstations

Study rooms with PCs are located on floors 5, 7, and 11 in the VU Main Building.
The PCs are accessible with VU-net-id. Photocopying and printing facilities are available. Read the conditions of use (PDF).
Reading Rooms

The reading rooms contain reference works and current professional literature.
Floors 1, 9 and 10 in the VU Main Building.
All rooms have free Wi-Fi.

In the Medical Library are many individual and group workplaces, whisper areas, and workstations.


Opening hours

Most rooms in the VU Main Building are open throughout the day and often in the evenings and weekends. See Opening hours.

All study and work places have Wi-Fi and photocopying and printing facilities. Read the conditions of use (PDF).

Who for?

  • Study and computer rooms in the VU Library are primarily for VU students and staff. Computer workstations are accessible only with a VU-net-id.
  • Non students/staff may study at the Library's study areas and consult the digital collections on a limited number of PCs with a guest account after identification at the counter.
  • Students from other Dutch universities can use the Eduroam wireless network.

More study places on the VU campus can be found in the W&N Building (Math & Physics), Initium (Law), and Medical Faculty.
